Opulence in Bloom
For this commission with AMAFFI Perfume House, I wanted to create a series that felt as luxurious and expressive as the fragrances themselves — but grounded in the beauty of nature.
We shot at Kew Gardens, using its ever-changing light and natural textures to complement the ornate craftsmanship of AMAFFI’s bottles. Working outdoors meant embracing unpredictability — shifting light, moving shadows, and the occasional breeze — so keeping the crew small and the setup agile was essential. It gave us freedom to adapt quickly and respond to the environment as it evolved throughout the day.
Each fragrance found its own setting: bold colours, rich metallics, and delicate details set against botanical textures that reflected their personality. The goal was to celebrate the artistry of the bottle and the essence it represents — not just through precision lighting, but through atmosphere.
A huge thanks to everyone who helped bring this together on location — it was a shoot that reminded me how dynamic and rewarding working with natural elements can be.
